A QUESTION OF BALANCE
Before you speak, ask yourself,
is it kind, is it necessary, is it true,
does it improve on the silence?
Sai Baba
TRUE BEAUTY
People are like stained glass windows.
They glow and sparkle when it is sunny and bright;
but when the suns goes down
their true beauty is revealed only if
there is a light from within.
Anonymous
When I am working on a problem I never think
about beauty,
I only think about how to solve the problem.
But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful,
I know it is wrong.
R. Buckminster Fuller
BECAUSE WE BELIEVE
Once in every life
there comes a time
we walk out all alone
and into the light.
The moment won't last but then,
we remember it again
when we close our eyes.
Like stars across the sky
we were born to shine.
All of us here because we believe.
Lyrics

Amy Foster Gillies

"Because We Believe"

Andrea Bocelli

BEGIN AGAIN
One of the best things we can do in
our lives is this:
begin again.
Begin to see yourself as you were
when you were the happiest and strongest you've ever been.
Begin to remember what worked for you
(and what worked against you),
and try to capture the magic again.
Begin to remember how natural it was when you were
a child
- to live a lifetime each day.
Begin to forget the baggage
you have carried with you for years:
the problems that don't matter anymore,
the tears that cried themselves away,
and the worries that are going to wash away
on the shore of tomorrow's new beginning.
Tomorrow tells us it will be here every new day of
our lives;
and if we will be wise,
we will turn away from the problems of the past
and give the future - and ourselves -
a chance to become the best of friends.
Sometimes all it takes is a wish in the heart to
let yourself
begin again.

IT'S
NOT EASY BEING GREEN
The words say "It's not easy being green,"
but the song is about knowing who you are.
And in it you hear Jim's message most clearly.
He believed that people are good
and that they want to do their best
and that no matter how or why
we might be different from anybody else,
we should learn to love who we are
and be proud of it.

Lyrics by Joe Raposo
It's not that easy being green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold...
or something much more colorful like that.
It's not easy being green.
It seems you blend in with so many other ord'nary things.
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
or stars in the sky.
But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain,
or tall like a tree.
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why?
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.
BEING
TRUE
Your only obligation in any lifetime
is to be true to yourself.
Being true to anyone else or anything else
is impossible.
Richard Bach
To be yourself
in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else
is the greatest accomplishment.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

BELIEFS
What we can or
cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible,
is rarely a function of our true capacity.
It is more like a function of our beliefs about who we are.
Anthony Robbins

Within you right now is the power to do
things
you never dreamed possible.
This power becomes available to you
just as soon as you can change your beliefs.
Maxwell Maltz
If you don't change your beliefs, your life will be like this
forever.
Is that good
news?

If you can imagine it, you can
achieve it.
If you can dream it, you can become it.
William Arthur Ward
It is better to believe than to disbelieve;
in so doing you bring everything

Your beliefs have always been
the limiting factor of your performance.

BELIEVE!
Believing in yourself
and in your own abilities is where it all begins.
Even if no one else around -
not family, friends, acquaintances or even strangers
believe in you,
you must always believe in yourself!
And never, ever stop believing,
and ultimately others will come to believe in you, too.
Jace Carlton

You
are always a valuable, worthwhile human being
not because anybody says so,
not because you're successful,
not because you make a lot of money
but because you decide to believe it and for no other reason.

I
BELIEVE IN YOU
"I believe in you."
How easy it is to let those words
rise from our heart, over our lips,
and into someone else's heart.
"I believe in you."
How wonderful the feeling inside
when someone says
that to you,
especially if you're going through a tough time in your
life.
"I believe in you."
How powerful those words are
in turning someone's
life around
and helping them to believe in themselves again.
"I believe in you."
Oh, the light that just went back on
in your child's
eyes!
"I believe in you."
Their smile just beamed brighter
than it's ever
beamed before.
I believe in you.
Yes, you!
In spite of the weaknesses and
shortcomings
that only you see in yourself.
I don't see them.
I believe in you.
And when you wish upon that star just remember ...
I made those stars for all of your wishes.
I believe in you.
And I believe in your dreams,
and I know you can make them all come true ...
if you believe, too.
I believe in you.
I really do.
I believe in you.
I always have ... and I always will.
I promise.
I believe in you.
Love,
God

BEWARE OF PRIDE
Through pride we are ever deceiving ourselves.
But deep down below the surface of the average conscience
a still, small voice says to us,
"Something is out of tune."

BLESSINGS
Give us courage and
gaiety and the quiet mind.
Spare to us our friends, soften to us our enemies.
Bless us, if it may be, in all our innocent endeavors.
If it may not, give us the strength to encounter that which is to come,
that we be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temperate in wrath,
and in all changes of fortune and down to the gates of death,
loyal and loving one to another.

moment when you first wake up in the
morning
is the most wonderful of the
twenty-four hours.
No matter how weary or dreary you may
feel,
you possess the certainty that,

absolutely anything may happen.
